Eyebrows can be enhanced using tattooing for a subtle, natural, defining result. It is a sought after treatment and we use a range of techniques and high quality pigments for a flattering result based on your individual needs.

Our professional techniques ensure subtle, flattering results that enhance your natural features, with top-ups typically required every 12-18 months.

Semi-Permanent Makeup FAQs

What is Semi Permanent Makeup?

Semi-permanent make up also known as micropigmentation, is a form of temporary cosmetic tattooing which allows you to have long lasting eyeliner and lip colour as well as shape and contour to eyebrows.

How does it work?

Involves having pigment implanted into the epidermis using a fine needle-similar to a tattoo but less painful, the ink used is mineral based and the results are not permanent.

How long does it last?

Generally lasts between 12-24 months depending on the individual. You can visit the clinic for a colour boost after this time

What can I expect after treatment?

  • Flaking
  • Tenderness
  • Dryness and itching
  • Swelling
  • Redness

Immediately after treatment the pigment will be 30% darker than the healed result.

What aftercare should I follow?

It’s really important to care for your after care following a treatment to ensure your results are as effective as possible and reduce the likelihood of complications. At Skin by Sarah we are passionate about delivering great results and committed to safety we are always happy to help with aftercare and advise the following:

  • Always wash hands before applying any healing balms
  • Use a gentle cleanser during healing stage
  • Keep hair away from the face to prevent infection
  • Keep the treated area dry, if it gets wet pat dry with a towel do not rub.
  • Do not pick, peel or scratch the treated area, allow to flake naturally
  • No make up for up to 72 hours
  • No sun exposure or tanning beds, Jacuzzi’s, saunas, salt water, chlorine, direct showers, hot water or creams.

Long term: Wear a sun factor as sun exposure will fade semi-permanent makeup.
